A Review Of The Zip And Zoe Range From Babymel

The new Zip and Zoe range from Babymel have fast become products that we love.

In fact so much so, that these days we rarely leave the house without at least one of them in tow.

Their fun prints, well thought out dimensions and clever pockets have clearly been designed with children in mind.

These are not just scaled down adult bags, they are the perfect bags for little people – who have thoughts, dreams and needs all of their own.

Number One’s bag is smart and just a little bit sophisticated – perfect for the little lady that she is fast becoming.

Its contrasting colours add to the style, whilst the front Velcro pocket is perfect for popping in a paperback novel for easy access. Something which as a bookworm, Number One is more than a little bit delighted about.

Number Two’s two bags both have a fun colourful robot print.

The larger of the bags, is the perfect size for a day out.

For those of you with little ones at Nursery, it would also make a lovely and very distinctive Nursery bag. With one large internal pocket, an outer zip pocket, perfect for either nappies or small toys and a larger internal pocket which closes with velcro. Its clever design ensures that smaller things don’t get lost, yet that there is plenty of space for larger objects. I also love the fun design which enables the child’s name to be clearly displayed.

The unique character keyring, featuring Zip is attached to both of the larger bags.

He has proven himself to be a fun addition, and perfect for entertaining Number Two when we are out and about. His striking black and white design is appealing to both children and adults alike and he has definitely become a firm favourite with Number One and Number Two.

The smaller of the two bags, specifically targets younger children both in terms of its dimensions and functionality.

At seventeen months it fits Number Two perfectly and because it buckles round his tummy he can’t easily take it off. This is particularly ideal when using the removable reins strap as it adds extra security when out and about.

The reins themselves are a good length, allowing for just enough freedom without the need to worry about safety.

The parent handle is a simple loop, meaning that it is less bulky than many similar products on the market. Because of this I found it much more comfortable to hold.

The bag contains a large internal pocket and a smaller zip pocket on the font which is perfect for smaller toys or snacks. I also love the Velcro loop inside the bag which is perfect for keeping water bottles or other drinks upright in the bag.

The real highlight of the bag for us though has to be the musical tag.

The tag sings Zip and Zoe every time it is pressed, and elicits the widest smile possible from Number Two every time it is pressed. He loves it and definitely helps with his willingness to wear the bag.

In summary these bags form part of a fantastic range, and we would definitely recommend them to families looking for high quality, well thought out bags for their little ones. Why not take a look at the full range to see all of the different designs available.

Disclaimer: We were gifted these bags in return for an honest review. As always all opinions are my own.
